The Edit is a weekly round-up of who’s doing personalization right. From brands weaving customization into their story, to the monogram that stopped us mid-scroll, a maker worth watching, and a detail so good we couldn’t stop thinking about it.
Each week, I share what’s caught my eye — new brands treating customization as craft (not an upsell), pieces that prove “made for you” beats “made for everyone,” and the timeless finds that never feel dated. A curated weekly dose of the taste, texture, and detail that makes something feel truly yours.
This week's edit leans into comfort — the kind of personalization that shows up in the spaces where you actually slow down. A duvet, a nursery cushion, a pajama set, a blanket that's impossible not to curl up in, a travel pillow that makes an Airbnb bed feel like home (or in my case, the perfect-size pillow for my toddler's bed). Five shops, five ways of making "made for you" feel like more than a monogram tacked on at checkout.

A good duvet has a way of feeling personal — like it was made for you. Gooselings gets that — soft, considered bedding that leans into personalization without losing the coziness that makes a kid's room actually feel like theirs. The prints are gorgeous, striking that balance between whimsy and a little bit of old-world nostalgia.

This is hand-embroidered personalization at its most playful — a name in cheerful script, alongside little icons chosen just for her. It's romantic and thoughtful without taking itself too seriously, the kind of piece that feels nostalgic but still lives in a kid's world (sturdy enough to survive one, too). The rare piece that wins over moms and kids alike. Thread the Word has so many good bespoke pieces, it’s worth taking a deep dive on her Instagram!

Petite Plume has always made personalization feel elevated, not gimmicky. A monogram doesn't feel added on as an afterthought — it feels like it was part of the design from the start. During my years at Tuckernuck, I was hands-on with personalization on Petite Plume pajamas, and every sample that came through my door was a favorite.

The Go-To takes personalization somewhere unexpected — and has gifts you don’t see anywhere else. I love this wool blanket with custom text woven right in, so it becomes part of the pattern itself. I couldn't be more excited that they carry Lettermade, too — an embroidered linens business I started in 2014 and handed off just before starting to work with Tuckernuck. It's been amazing to watch how much it's grown and flourished since! There's truly a gift for every occasion here, with personalization options that go beyond the norm, like these personalized ceramics that live on my wish list.

Proof that a monogram doesn't need to be loud to land. A simple set of initials, embroidered onto a travel pillow — the kind of detail so good that I did this on pillows for my bedroom and my kids' rooms (we used my daughter's pillow in this shoot!). Even outside of travel, it's the perfect size for a toddler — ultra comfy and plush. Extra Trivia: this is stitched in the same style that they use to monogram pillows at The Carlyle, and if you watched the 2018 documentary, Always at The Carlyle, you'll see a seamstress stitching away on her Brother machine (maybe for Roger Federer's suite?)... Highly recommend watching, but more so, buying this pillow and adding a monogram to it.
