The Edit is a weekly round-up of who’s doing personalization right. From brands weaving customization into their story, to the monogram that stopped us mid-scroll, a maker worth watching, and a detail so good we couldn’t stop thinking about it.
Each week, I share what’s caught my eye — new brands treating customization as craft (not an upsell), pieces that prove “made for you” beats “made for everyone,” and the timeless finds that never feel dated. A curated weekly dose of the taste, texture, and detail that makes something feel truly yours.
This week's edit is all about classic, nostalgic styles elevated into something ultra-luxe — from the materials they're made from to the customization offered on each. A cardigan finished with a hand-beaded crest, a travel bag with bespoke leather initials, a hand-painted ceramic dish with a custom phrase, a backgammon board built for jet-setters, slippers with a hidden gold-embossed monogram, a pillowcase with an embroidered detail that reads more heirloom than add-on. Six shops, six ways of making "made for you" feel like more than a monogram tacked on at checkout.
1. The Laurita Puff Sleeve Cardigan — Le Lion (@lelioncollection)
Le Lion's sweaters are made with quality Italian yarn and cut in classic, easy-to-wear shapes, then finished with embroidered monograms, crests, and other personal touches. This cardigan is customized with an embroidered monogram set inside a beaded frame, and it reads like something you'd truly pass down. Founder Laura built the brand on the idea that a piece should feel special, heirloom-quality, and meant to last, not something you wear once and move on from. That philosophy is basically my love language (it's giving old-soul meets effortlessly cool). The Katie Slouchy Cardigan is a close favorite — throw it on, and any outfit instantly feels more luxe.

2. The Bespoke Walton Travel Bag — Anya Hindmarch (@anyahindmarch)
Anya Hindmarch’s Bespoke program has been part of the brand since it launched in 1987, and the Walton Collection is the signature monogrammed luggage line within it. This piece lets you add initials, have your full name embossed along the leather trim, and slip a handwritten note inside. It's built with the kind of quality that outlasts trends — the sort of piece that's still in rotation twenty years from now.
Side note — her book If In Doubt, Wash Your Hair lives on my desk, highlighted and bookmarked. I go back to it often for a little advice or motivation. It's one of my favorite reads, and I bring it up any chance I get. (Some of my most highlighted pages, below.)

3. Bespoke Ceramics Commissions — L&Clay Ceramics (@landclayceramics)
This one’s less a product than a maker. Lesley Boerio, based in Margate, spent two decades in ecommerce before leaving it to work with clay full-time. Her signature is blending text into her vessels — bold, intentionally imperfect, and genuinely one of a kind each time. Commissions run up to three months, which tracks with the level of care in each piece.

4. Custom Travel Backgammon Board — Throwing Doubles (@throwingdoubles)
Throwing Doubles hand-crafts these in Los Angeles from Italian leather, made to be tossed in a bag and pulled out wherever a game breaks out, with the option to be blind-embossed with a name or logo. They also do a fair amount of corporate and wedding-favor custom work, which makes sense once you see the construction. This is the kind of piece that makes an ordinary game night feel like an occasion.

5. Leather Travel Slippers — The Go-To (@thegoto)
The Go-To is a curated gifting marketplace bringing together high-end brands and artisans from around the world — including the leather travel slippers pictured here, from a heritage London shoemaker, currently on preorder and a pretty fabulous Christmas gift in the making. If you're after something with even more detail, these velvet monogram loafers are hand-embroidered with a twelve-week lead time — worth the wait.

6. Heirloom Monogram Pillowcase — Jullist Avenue (@jullistavenue)
Jullist Avenue is a custom embroidery atelier out of D.C. This pillowcase carries a single embroidered initial, framed in an oval with a delicate bow on top — the kind of detail you don’t notice right away, and then can’t stop noticing. Turnaround is fast, which makes it an easy way to make a basic bed feel very intentional.
